Charterers, owners, and managers lacked real-time access to critical events and incidents affecting their vessels during voyages. This information gap posed risks such as entering sanctioned or incident-prone areas, impacting vessel safety and voyage efficiency.
Managing our fleet has been challenging due to the lack of real-time incident updates. We need a solution to help us track and respond to critical events promptly.
We developed a solution called Fleet Monitoring, leveraging AIS data and other relevant data points. This system continuously tracked vessel locations and relevant incidents, providing real-time notifications to stakeholders. By integrating data from various sources, including sanctions lists, weather reports, and historical incident data, the system alerted users to potential risks and allowed for proactive decision-making.
The Fleet Monitoring system significantly improved voyage safety and efficiency. It enabled stakeholders to make informed decisions, avoiding potentially dangerous situations and minimising risks. The real-time tracking and incident notification capabilities ensured vessels could navigate safely and respond promptly to changing conditions, ultimately leading to safer voyages and better operational outcomes.
Harnessing design thinking, I spearheaded the development of a groundbreaking Fleet Monitoring system, redefining vessel safety and efficiency. By integrating real-time AIS data and other sources, we provide charterers, owners, and managers with critical voyage insights, enabling proactive risk mitigation and optimised voyage planning. This transformative system not only enhances safety but also saves valuable time and resources, reshaping maritime operations for the better.
This Fleet Monitoring system is a game-changer! Having real-time incident notifications and location tracking is incredibly valuable. It's like having a vigilant eye watching over our vessels, ensuring safer and more efficient voyages. We're excited about the possibilities this brings to our operations.
